Upcoming AFCEA International Events
TechNet Air 2016
March 22–24, 2016
San Antonio, Texas
The Air Force Information Dominance vision—to fully exploit the man-made
domain of cyberspace across all Air Force core missions—demands clear
priorities and coordinated action to both overcome challenges and leverage opportunities associated with new platforms, advances in
technology and emerging threats. TechNet Air brings together military, industry, academic and technical leaders to examine cyberspace
issues, promote constructive dialog and advance understanding. Command and control, cyber, intelligence and EW missions and
requirements will be presented and discussed in panel, theater and small group sessions with top leaders and practitioners.
February 17–19, 2016
San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California
The premier naval conference and exposition on the West Coast, WEST is
now in its 26th year of bringing military and industry leaders together. Co-
sponsored by AFCEA International and the U.S. Naval Institute, WES T is the foremost event in which the makers of platforms and the
designers of technologies can network, discuss and demonstrate their solutions in a single locale. More than the operators benefit from
participating in WES T. The event enables senior military and government officials to gain valuable feedback directly from sea service
warfighters. Industry leaders learn about military requirements and connect with decision makers as well as operators in a professional
environment away from the office. New this year is a town hall discussion among Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard leaders.
2016 Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium
April 20-22, 2016
Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C.
The U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency’s new operational role in the
cyber domain as network defender creates a formal relationship between
DISA, the U.S. Cyber Command and the command’s military service components. The goal is to improve security, but a successful
strategy depends on a matrix of participating organizations adapting technical solutions and adopting enterprise management to improve
efficiency, security and reliability.
Regimental Signal Ball
March 11, 2016
Waterford at Springfield, Springfield, VA
The annual Regimental Signal Ball brings the Army Signal Corps together to
recognize and celebrate a history of “getting the message through” in support
of command and control coordination to support decision making. What began on foot and horseback has grown to the transfer of bits
and bytes through the evolution of technology from industry. This gala event is themed "Signal Readiness for a Complex World," and
will feature an opportunity to network beginning with a reception, followed by a formal banquet, Regimental Award presentations and
dancing. Attendees will include Signal leadership at all levels.
