Receive Thousands in Aid
In May, the chapter celebrated its
annual awards night, honoring deserv-
ing students and teachers with science,
technology, engineering and mathemat-
ics (STEM) scholarships and grants. Jes-
sica Morgenstern, vice president, scien-
tific education, served as master of cer-
emonies. She awarded $10,000 in STEM
The chapter also endowed scholarships,
each for $50,000, to three colleges in the
region. In addition, the chapter donated
$25,000 to the AFCEA International Edu-
cational Foundation. Lt. Gen. Robert M.
Shea, USMC (Ret.), president and CEO of
AFCEA International, accepted the dona-
tion and addressed the group.

In May, the chapter joined an AFCEA
Student Clubs Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, organized by the Portugal Chapter. Covilha Student Chapter President
