Felix Ramirez has served as president of AFCEA’s New York– The Founders Chapter—the oldest AFCEA chapter—for the past three years. He is very active in AFCEA and related
educational and community affairs. Ramirez has re-energized
the Founders Chapter by building a chapter team, organizing
a technical security seminar, hosting cyber/homeland defense
presentations with AFCEA International in New York City and hosting dinner presentations with new individual and company members. He has supported AFCEA
International’s homeland defense outreach to city, state and federal organizations
involved in homeland defense in the New York City region.
Ramirez’s technical expertise is within AFCEA’s domains. Specifically, he is an
information technology, audit and risk-management professional with cross-func-tional knowledge and skills in management consulting, risk advisory and audit
management focused on multinational organizations with diverse geographical,
economic, political and cultural environments. Throughout his career, Ramirez
has demonstrated leadership effectiveness in developing audit strategies for key
areas of technology and business, managing complex projects, attracting and
developing talent on his teams and establishing long-lasting business relationships
with his clients and his superiors.
He is a team-oriented individual with a strong sense of ownership and accountability and superior interpersonal and relationship management skills. Ramirez pos-sesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and is highly effective while
working independently. His expertise in auditing Oracle and in information technology risk management made him an expert reviewer of ISACA’s Security, Audit and
Controls of Oracle Database and the Risk IT framework.
Ramirez works with his chapter’s regional vice president to meet the objectives of
AFCEA International. He is actively involved in building the chapter while supporting a variety of community and educational affairs in New York and New Jersey.
In recognition of his dedication to the chapter and the association, AFCEA proudly names Felix Ramirez AFCEAN of the month.
